Many states and territories require attorneys to complete a certain amount of MCLE to maintain their license to practice law. LegalEdge offers a variety of programs to earn MCLE credits.

MCLE Rule Summary

At least 45 total credits of MCLE Board approved CLE activities must be earned every three years. Requirements include the following:

  • 5 credits in Ethics
  • 1 credit in Equity
  • 15 credits in Law and Legal Procedure
  • 24 credits earned in other substantive legal categories

All 45 credits may be satisfied.

On Demand

All 45 credits may be satisfied.

Attendance Reporting Procedure

LegalEdge reports attendance to the state within 30 days of the attorney’s completion for live webcast programs. Attorneys must self-report completion of on demand CLE. The Certificate of Completion issued by LegalEdge may be used to verify attendance.

Tuition Assistance

LegalEdge has full and partial scholarships available for low-income and unemployed attorneys, legal aid and government attorneys, judicial clerks, and employees of nonprofit organizations.
