MCLE Requirements
The Law Society of Ontario requires attorneys to complete 12 CPD credits each year. Requirements include the following:
Only Professionalism Hours, including EDI Professionalism Hours, must be accredited by the Law Society. The remaining 9 substantive credits may be unaccredited.
Program Qualifications
Credits qualified to be earned through LegalEdge based on course type. Up to 6 non-professionalism CPD credits may be satisfied with on demand programs at LegalEdge. Group Viewing of on-demand programs can add 3 non-professionalism credits for a total of 9 non-professionalism on-demand programs.
Live Webcast
Up to 9 non-professionalism CPD credits may be satisfied.
On Demand
Up to 6 non-professionalism CPD credits may be satisfied.
Attendance Reporting Procedure
Attorneys must self-apply and self-report completion of CPD.
