Many states and territories require attorneys to complete a certain amount of MCLE to maintain their license to practice law. LegalEdge offers a variety of programs to earn MCLE credits.

MCLE Requirements
Every member must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours every three years. Requirements include the following:
All compliance credits outside the two-credit hour Florida Legal Professionalism and the Florida Basic Skills Course Requirements may be earned through interactive computer-based credit on LegalEdge. Excess credits cannot be carried over to the next reporting cycle.

Attendance Reporting Procedure
Attorneys self-report CLE completions. The Certificate of Completion issued by LegalEdge may be used as proof of attendance. Attorneys may also self-submit applications for programs if the program was listed as “self-apply” on LegalEdge.
Programs offered for attorneys to self-apply will include the ACCREDITATION STATUS of “Self-Apply” on the certificate of completion. The application form is attached and pre-filled with the appropriate program details.
The top portion of the application is pre-filled with the information provided in your LegalEdge account under the My Profile link. If this section is not already pre-filled, update your profile and re-open the certificate of completion, or print/hand-enter the information required before submitting it to The Florida Bar.
There is no charge for attorneys to self-apply. Submit the certificate of completion along with the application form via mail, email clemail@flabar.org, or by fax to 850-561-9421. The Florida Bar will not contact you with approval of the activity; they will automatically apply your CLE hours toward your continuing legal education credit requirements. They will only contact you if they have a question regarding your application.
Paralegals in regulated jurisdictions can meet their CLE requirements by completing accredited CLE programs through LegalEdge.
What are the CLE requirements for Florida Registered Paralegals (FRPs)?
Total CLE Hours: 30 hours every three years
Required Categories: 5 hours in ethics or professionalism, and 3 hours in technology
Basic Skills Requirement: Not required
Reporting: FRPs must report their CLE credits through their online profile.
Program Eligibility: All Florida CLE-accredited programs count toward paralegal credit.
